JUST A GLIMPSE...

It has become my habit to look around and appreciate sights and sound a step away. It brings out the contemplative side of my personhood that keeps on searching for anything that can catch attention. And in this world of constant change and countless angles, I could say life is a kaleidoscope of experiences of different people on almost everything that comes along the way.

I invite you to join me in my journal as I feature the colourful panorama of this modern life seen from different perspectives. Allow me to take you to see other sides… even the unexplored dimensions as I further search, dissect, scrutinize, and rediscover anything under the sun. This blog is a feast of the many fascinating things about life and what it has to offer.

Go through the pages and have a peek… enjoy the kaleidoscope, then let your mind speak!

gratitude in action

Sometimes we fail to appreciate the good things that come our way and even those we already have. We tend to look at what others have and wish that we also have the same. I guess it is part of human nature so that we can continue to strive and work harder to achieve what we want. But let us not forget, sometimes we have better without us knowing it. It just needs a few minutes of introspection to go deep down ourselves and start to be a little bit more appreciative.

Looking at the blessings we possess can make us feel better and more confident of ourselves. Apart from that, it can be a start of becoming more understanding and giving to others. It can be said that the first step to being grateful is appreciating what we have. So, let us begin a simple act of self-appreciation.

THINK ABOUT THIS:

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness,
You are more blessed than the millions who won’t survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation,
You are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you have food on your table, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep,
You are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and even a just a spare change,
You are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If you can read this message,
You are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read anything at all.

If you can hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful,
You are blessed because majority can, but most do not.

YOU ARE BLESSED IN WAYS YOU MAY NEVER EVEN KNOW.
