kaleidoscope: just be happy!

JUST A GLIMPSE...

It has become my habit to look around and appreciate sights and sound a step away. It brings out the contemplative side of my personhood that keeps on searching for anything that can catch attention. And in this world of constant change and countless angles, I could say life is a kaleidoscope of experiences of different people on almost everything that comes along the way.

I invite you to join me in my journal as I feature the colourful panorama of this modern life seen from different perspectives. PED MERCADO

The other week, out of boredom, I bought a bunch of DVD movies that I could watch and at the same time enjoy. I am big fan of 'feel good' movies so most of the DVD movies I bought were mostly on that genre. Why? It is because they give me a sense of relaxation and it really feels good after watching.I watch movies for entertainment purposes and I don't see torturing my head as fun. If you don't understand, try to watch Jim Carey's 23. That should do it.

I was able to see "Marley and Me" of Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. I liked the movie , but I am not here to write about it, some other time maybe...

So, what is there to write about?

In the beginning part of the movie (the setting), I heard this song which really sounded familiar. Later, I learned it is from R.E.M. , a band from the 90's that popularised the hit song, "Losing My Religion". I missed this song (the former not the latter)so much. It has been like years that I haven't heard of this. It got me excited.

So, what is there to be excited about?

Well, It feels good to hear the good oldies from way back. The song is light and it has a lifting effect. Those who have experienced the decade of the 90's, you can relate to what I am saying especially to the music produced at that time.

So, what is the song all about?

Actually, there is nothing very deep about the song. It is just a song of expressing happiness, that's all. There is one thing I've realised though... Happiness is not something to think about, it something that you have to feel, right?

So, everybody let us feel the song, sit back and just be happy!
